In collaboration with Bandito Brothers (the creative group behind the amazing doc "Dust to Glory"), seasoned cinematographer Shane Hurlbut has been breaking new ground in DSLR filmmaking for some time now. Bandito Brothers has signed director/cinematographer Shane Hurlbut, ASC, for exclusive US spot representation. Hurlbut's feature credits include Terminator Salvation, We Are Marshall, Into The Blue, and The Rat Pack, for which he received an ASC nomination. On the commercial front, he counts Visa, Coca-Cola, Verizon, American Express, Discovery, Big Love, and Deadwood among his notable credits. Hurlbut has also worked with music legends The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins. He recently shot a Bandito-produced Navy SEAL narrative feature helmed by Bandito directors Mouse McCoy and Scott Waugh. This is his first spot roost.  Full Story

He comes to Bandito Brothers from the world of high-octane feature films, making him an excellent fit for Bandito’s action-oriented company culture. Amundsen, one of Variety's Cinematographers to Watch in 2008 ,sees a kinship between his feature work and the world of advertising. "Two of my recent projects were "Transformers" and "G.I. Formed in 2007, Bandito Brothers is a creative collective of technologists, filmmakers, and former athletes whose action-adventure-themed work has been stealing the show across TV, the big screen, and Internet video outlets. The multitasking Brothers have recently created TV campaigns for Ford, Mountain Dew, Kellogg's, NASCAR, and the U.S. Marine Corps. They are producing an upcoming fictional film about Navy SEALs, Act of Valor, starring actual SEALs in action and written by 300 scribe Kurt Johnstad. L.A.-based special effects and finishing studio Arsenal FX recently lent its talents to a snow-themed spot, with its own take on holiday fun. "Snow Motion," for L.L. Bean via GSD&M, captures the beauty of a winter day as a family engages in sledding, snowball fights and more. The message of the spot is that that every moment counts, and so does every penny, something L.L. Bean understands as it provides rewards to its customers during the holiday season. Work by Arsenal FX included secondary color correction and graphics placement, like the snowflake that falls slowly on a little girl’s tongue.  Full Story
